SHELBY POST 82 AMERICAN LEGION AWARDS
Bill Moss, Landon Brown and Nan Johnson
Shelby Post 82 of the American Legion honored Albert Mancinelli with a certificate for 65 years continuous membership in the American Legion. Mancinelli served in the US Army in Europe during World War II. Post Commander Ned Cash presented the certificate.
Also, Landon Brown was recognized for attending American Legion Boys State at Catawba College June 23rd  through 29th. The son of Timothy and Karen Brown of Shelby, Landon is home schooled and will be a senior this school year. He plans to attend college to study business or economics. Post 82 members Bill Moss, and Nan Johnson  helped coordinate the project.
And, tickets to the American Legion World Series were won by  Post 82 member Charles McNeilly, and his daughter Beth Winthrop.
