Shirley Beaver Grier, 78, of Old Lincolnton Rd., Shelby, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
Born in Cleveland County, on January 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Summie Alonzo Beaver, Sr. and Annie Edmondson Beaver. Mrs. Grier was a member of Polkville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Avery Grier; brother, S.A. Beaver, Jr. and sister, Betty Carter.
Survivors include a son, Tim Grier and wife, Crystal of Shelby; a daughter, Tammy Falls and husband, Rick of Lawndale; nine grandchildren, Avery, Sarah, Gabe, Macy, Rebecca, Chris, Kathrine, Mateo and Malachi and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Polkville Baptist Church with the Rev. Will Davis and Rev. Paul Scott officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
