Shirley Mae Wilson Webber

Mrs. Shirley Mae Wilson Webber, 74, passed away on July 3, 2025, at Hospice Wendover, Shelby, NC. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Wilson and Ruthie Mae Mintz Wilson. She was born in Rochester, New York on January 23, 1951.

Ms. Shirley attended Compact School in Kings Mountain. She was a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved doing arts and crafts, building herself a large doll house; decorating and painting it in her own creative style. She also enjoyed reading the tabloids; posting onto Face Book; gardening flowers; cooking white beans; and staying up well past midnight playing games on her tablet. She enjoyed listening to loud Prince music; loving to hear "Purple Rain' being played.

Ms. Shirley was a family woman. She loved all her family, caring for them all. If anyone called for anything, she was there. She kept them laughing, at each or with each other. Her family bought her favorite pet, parakeet birds. She would name them after her children who bought them. Her famous saying to all the family as they would leave or end a call was, 'Be careful, be safe, one love". Her love will last through her family generations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Billy Wilson, James Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Gloria Wilson, Jeannie Jimpson, and Sharon Wilson.

She leaves her memories to cherish to her children, Craig Webber (Melanie), Scott Webber (Tomacita Alvarez), Jerry Webber (Dawana Lee), and Sherica Adams (Shawn); nineteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; special friend, Erica Watson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel, Shelby, NC. Enloe Mortuary was in charge of the services.
