Ms. Shirley Petty Morris, 65 of 4122 James Lovelace Road, Boiling Springs NC passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at her residence. She was born on September 25, 1953 in Cleveland County N.C. to the late Margaret McSwain Petty and the late Rev. Samuel Petty.

Shirley was baptized at an early age at Green Bethel Baptist Church and was a currently a member of Hopper's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a Christian woman who had a kind heart for animals. She was a reliable daughter, a great sister and aunt and a magnificent and loving mother.

Shirley was employed at Hanes in Bessemer City until she became disabled.

Along with her father, two siblings, Wylie Petty and Eartha Petty have also predeceased.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her son, Johnny Morris; one brother, Wade Petty; three sisters, Mary Petty, Linda Petty and Janade Petty all of Shelby and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby. The family will be meeting at the home of her son, 2500 Vick Wilson Road, Shelby NC.
