Today we celebrate the Life and Home Going of Sister Sophia Ann Williams Allen, who passed away peacefully at Rutherford Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born on August 5, 1948.

Sister Sophia Allen was a member of True Vine Church where she served as Head Usher over the kitchen, flowers, and birthday cards. She was also on the Trustee Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Bell and Fred Williams, husband Edgar Lee Allen, sister Dorothy Lee Williams, and granddaughter Erica Allen.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories children Elaine Allen Nelson and spouse David Nelson of Greenville, NC; Sandra Allen of Rutherfordton, NC; Jermaine Allen of Rutherfordton, NC; Trudy Allen of Charlotte, NC and Joshua Allen and spouse Alexis Allen of Rutherfordton, NC; grandchildren: Tiffany Bristol, Ivon Allen, LaQuanda Allen, Samiyah Petty, Hikiem Allen, Mia Allen, Moriah Laughter, Jaden Allen, Laila Allen, and Joshua Allen, Jr.; three sisters; Deloris Lowrance, Zelma Williams and Patty Williams; three brothers Bobby Joe Williams, Steve Williams and Fred Williams; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon on Friday February 10, 2017 at Crowe's Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Sophia will be laid to rest in the True Vine Church Cemetery.
