Spencer Brian Blanton, age 35, of Caroleen, died March 26, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born June 21, 1980 in Rutherford County, he is the son of Roy Blanton of Loris, NC and Maxine C. Blanton of Caroleen. He worked as a roofer most of his life and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He was a person who cared for others and a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Lee.
In addition to his parents, survivors include two daughters, Shina Arrowood and Clarissa Blanton both of the home; four sisters, Tammy Lee and Melissa Lee both of Hickory, Jackie Fryer of Sandy Mush and Maudie Greer of Caroleen; one brother, Todd Blanton and wife, Teresa of Loris, NC. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
At the request of the family, no formal services are planned. A gathering of family and friends will take place at his mother's home from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 171 Old Caroleen Rd. Apartment 2, Forest City, NC 28043.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
