Stanley Allen Lancaster, 64, husband of the late Betty J. Lancaster, died February 8, 2022 at Atrium Health in Charlotte after an extended battle with cancer.

He was born February 3, 1958 to the late Bill Lancaster and Gail Tomblin Russ.

He graduated from East Rutherford High School Class of 1976. Stanley retired from the US Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector.

Stanley is survived by his daughters Michelle Jolley (Trevor), Jennifer Patterson (Adam) granddaughters Rayne Jolley and Calee Jolley. He is also survived by two stepsons Randy Martinez (Heather) and Miguel Martinez (Hebeluz) and six grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother Steve Walker (Tina), stepbrother Scott Russ (Charlotte), stepsister Amy Brantley, stepsister Connie Shytles, his aunt Sandra Jones and his stepmother Martha Lancaster.

Stanley was a proud veteran serving in the US Army from 1980-1984 where he met the love of his life, Betty.

Stanley was a sports enthusiast beginning with Little League Baseball and playing both baseball and football in high school. He played travel softball for many years with some great teams and then became very interested in golf which he loved, played often, and made many new friends.

Services will be held Monday, February 14 at 12:00 at Victory Baptist Church in Ellenboro. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rutherford County Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
