Steve Ray Short, 68, of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County, on August 5, 1953, he was a son of the late Harvey Ray Short and Marie Davis Short. He was retired from the Pentagon and was a member of Fairfax United Methodist Church. He also served in the US Army.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Keith Short and niece, Keisha Short.

He is survived by a brother Bobby Short of Lawndale; sister, Sandra Hoppes of Casar; two nieces, Cindy Hoppes and Korey Short and six great nieces and nephews.
