Steve “Stevie” Roger Grigg II

Steve “Stevie” Roger Grigg II, was a truly compassionate friend, a dedicated son, brother and uncle. He possessed a smile that was contagious, yet sincerely genuine. Most importantly, Stevie was a faithful and loyal father, always committed to being a devoted “Dad” to his two precious sons who represented life itself to him. Mr. Grigg went to his eternal home on May 27th, 2017 at the age of 44.

Stevie is survived by his sons, Tristan Grigg, 18 and Carson, 16; parents, Steve Roger and Gloria Grigg; sister, Julie Phillips and husband Randy; nieces, Logan and Maria; sister, Carmen Hensley and husband Jimmy; nieces, Lauren, Madison and Anna. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maria Santos Torres, paternal grandparents, Arthur and Flo Beverly, and dear aunt and uncle, Maria Guerra and Paul Grigg.

Stevie was born May 22, 1973 in Shelby, NC. He was a lifelong resident of Blacksburg, SC and a graduate of Blacksburg High School. Stevie was especially proud that it was with the Class of 1991. After graduating, he then spent two years at Lander University. Stevie was employed by Bericap as a Maintenance Administrator, where he truly loved the people he worked with and would often say how blessed he was to work with such fine people. He attended Nazareth Baptist Church in Blacksburg and truly enjoyed hearing the awesome choir. Stevie loved fishing with his boys and cooking for them, playing the guitar and singing with friends, shopping at Food Lion every day of the week, and going to Holden Beach. Above all, he loved being with his family, which along with his Lord and Savior, were the greatest treasures in his life. Stevie’s life has brought true happiness and joy to every person he encountered throughout his walk here with us. If your life was touched by Stevie, please pay it forward and share his kindness and sweet smile with everyone you meet.

The family would like to extend the deepest, sincerest, most heartfelt thanks to ALL who assisted the family during this difficult time. "Your compassion, acts of kindness and generosity will never be forgotten and can never be repaid. May God abundantly bless you with His mercy, love and grace". Stevie will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
