Steve Vernard Wallace of Rutherfordton, passed away on June 15, 2020. He was born on July 11, 1949 to the late Guy Alonzo Wallace and Bertha Lail Wallace. Steve was a Veteran of the US Army. He was also a loving father and grandfather. He loved to fish, spend time with his family and his favorite companion, his dog Angel. Steve was a member of Disabled American Veterans of Rutherford County.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children; Todd Wallace and wife Janet of Forest City, Vicki Boggs and husband Tim of Mooresboro, and Billy Wallace and wife Tawana of Rutherfordton; nine grand kids, Tyler Wallace and wife Jessica, Haley Owens and husband Dylan, Brooklyn Wallace, Brandy Wallace, Robert Wallace and wife Sonja, Kimberly Wallace, Lexi Wallace, Bryson Wallace, and Braylan Wallace. He also leaves behind eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held on Friday June 19, 2020 at 1PM, Pisgah United Methodist Church, 4344 US 64 Hwy, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with the Rev.
