Steven Brian McDaris, age 61, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Peak Resources-Shelby.

Born in Asheville North Carolina on July 1, 1959 he was the son of the late William T. McDaris and Sarah Foy McDaris. Steven worked for a number of years in maintenance at PPG Industries until health concerns prevented him from continuing.

Steven is survived by his three sisters; Carolyn McDaris of Shelby, Ann Teague of Hickory and Becky Gordon husband Rick of Earl as well as two nieces, Elizabeth Gordon Cook and husband Matthew and Amanda Teague Turner and husband Curt and one nephew Dillon Gordon and wife Laurie as well a great niece and great nephew, Macey and Gunner Cook and a very special buddy Curt McFarland.

Graveside memorial service was held 11:00 am Friday, May 21, 2021 at Sunset Cemetery with Rev. ChaseRobinson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
