Stuart Caudill ,75, passed away December 24, 2021 at White Oak Manor in Shelby after an extended illness.

A native of Wilkes Co., he was born to the late Dollie and Cecile Richardson Caudill.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Martha Blanton Caudill of the home, son Jonathan Caudill and wife Amanda of Charlotte and grandchildren Morgan, Maddie, Mason and Micah.

Stuart taught Biology at Ashbrook High School in Gastonia for 32 years and prior to that taught medical students at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Stuart and his wife were very active in Relay for Life where he served on several committees and even headed the program. He was also active with Meals on Wheels and was a long time member of Little Church on the Lane in Charlotte where he was an elder as well as serving in various other activities. He later attended Friendship Baptist in Belmont.

A memorial service will be held Saturday January 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McLean Funeral Home in Gastonia. The receiving of friends will follow the memorial service.
