Stuart Thomas Dysart

Shelby -- Stuart Thomas Dysart, 52, of 2530 South Lafayette Street, passed away Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Born in Shelby, he was the husband of Christine Pennington Dysart and the son of Thomas Dysart and wife, Carolyn, of Mooresboro and Mary Louise Grigg of Shelby. Mr. Dysart was a 1983 graduate of Crest High School and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was working as a service technician for Horizon Bradco.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Dysart is survived by a sister, Lendy Ray, and significant other, Tony Hamrick, of Shelby; two sisters-in-law, Carla O'Bryan and Kelly Warburton and husband, Kevin, all of Blacksburg; a mother-in-law, Barbara Allison, and husband, Ben, of Blacksburg; two nieces, Cassie Ray and Abbie Warburton; three nephews, Caden and Corbin Hamrick and Cannon Warburton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5th, 2017, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6th, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Welch officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Danny Hamrick, Brian Hamrick, Tony Hamrick, J.D. Burke, Clay Greer, Randy Allen, Derrick Greer, and Terry Knight will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the home of Kevin and Kelly Warburton, 530 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg.
