Students From Santiago De Surco Visit Our Area
The Gaston College Study Tours Program hosted on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, a group of Peruvian high school students from Gastonia’s Sister City (Santiago de Surco/Lima) and their two teacher-chaperones Sandra G. Marquez and Herman M. Aranibar, along with Juliann Lehman, Director of Gastonia Sister Cities.  While visiting Gaston College, the guests sat-in on a geography class with instructor Brian DiBartolo, while Brian Bookout, Gaston College Sociology instructor, gave the students a guided tour of the Dallas Campus.  The students and their chaperones were provided with souvenirs to remember their visit from Bookstore Director Charles Wilson, and lunch was provided in the campus cafeteria hosted by the Gaston College Study Tours Program and Study Tours Director Bob Blanton.
