Mrs. Sunday Hartgrove Meeks, 69 of Grover, NC, passed away on July 10, 2026, at her residence. Born on October 18, 1956, Sunday was a loving, caring, and selfless woman who dedicated her life to her family. She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Victoria Degree Hartgrove. She was known for her kind heart and was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas S. Meeks; her cherished son, Reco S. Meeks; her parents, Earnest and Victoria Hartgrove; her sisters, Odessa Robbs, Shirley Brooks, Margaret Feaster, and Addie Feaster; and her brother, Richard Hartgrove.

Left to cherish her precious memory are her loving daughters, Katrina Hartgrove and LaQuanda Meeks; her dear sister, Terri Williams Hopper; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Sunday's legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience, and faith in the importance of family. Her gentle heart, beautiful smile, and caring nature will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
