Susanne Elizabeth Markley Dallin, age 82 was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 2, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Evart Markley and Susannah Wesley Higgins Markley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years John Victor Dallin Jr. and her brother Sam Markley. Sue was a graduate of Millersville Teachers College in PA and taught for years in the Philadelphia area. After teaching, she began her entrepreneurial career as owner and operator of the Shoe Cottage in Pinehurst, NC.

Sue is survived by her three children, John Victor Dallin III of Colorado Springs, CO, Mark Gilbert Dallin and his wife Christine of Shelby, NC, Jennifer Kate Case and her husband Bruce of Jackson, Mississippi. Also left to cherish her memory are her eight loving grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 4 o'clock, in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
