One of this year’s entrants, Tom Furnival, was from Scotland! He was proudly wearing his country’s colors and is shown here with Kings Mountain’s Mayor Rick Murphrey.

His bib number was 30 and his winning time was a great 2:08:40! Here’s the winner, Kevin Lisska from Tega Cay, South Carolina, of Kings Mountain’s 2010 “Over The Mountain Triathlon” crossing the finish line. The City of Tega Cay is located on the shores of Lake Wylie, north of the Catawba River in York County. It has a population of just a little over 5,000 and now boast having the winner of the “Over The Mountain Triathlon”! Their native son, Kevin Lisska, led the field of almost 500 entries and took home the prize.
