Sybil Willis Terry, 80, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hill Top Health & Rehabilitation, Rutherfordton.

Born in Cleveland County, on November 26, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Thomas Willis and Vertie Davis Willis. She was retired from the Baxter Corporation and the rental property business.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Cletus Hudson; second husband, James Leon Terry; three brothers, Charlie, Larry and Clyde Willis; and two sisters, Eula Jackson and Elizabeth Shires.

She is survived by her son Mark Hudson and wife Lori of Santee, CA; two grandchildren, Daniel Hudson and wife Stephanie of El Cajon, CA and Rebecca Hudson of Santee, CA; two great-grandchildren, Meilanie and Mackenzie Hudson; and a brother, Tom Willis of Fallston.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Sandy Run Baptist Church
