Ms. Sylvia Ann Marable, 59, of 805 Jefferson Street, Shelby, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at her residence.  She was born on June 24, 1953 in Cleveland County, the youngest child and only daughter of the late Hubert and Ruth Elmore Marable.

Sylvia was a member of Hoppers Chapel Baptist Church where she joined at an early age.  She was employed with Universal Manufacturing until her health declined.  Sylvia was a very quiet reserved person who loved her family and will be remembered for being the family historian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal  grandmother, Letha Elmore Milton and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marable.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Bobby Marable (Mary), Leonard Marable (Brenda) both of Shelby and Joseph Marable (Margaret) of Frisco, TX; one aunt, Ada Marable of Washington, DC; a special cousin, Jenio Foster of Shelby and special friends, Brenda Watson, Linda Glenn and Cassandra Beasley all of Shelby and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hoppers Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Coleman officiating.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church on Tuesday.
