Sylvia "Pat" Silver, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her residence.

Pat was born November 25, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Enok Church and Margaret Cash Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, planting flowers and taking care of her favored pet dog, Boo Boo. Pat loved her family dearly and enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel music. She was a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin DeWitt Silver, Sr.; three sisters, Judy Church, Naomi Sewell, Mary Mauldin and a brother, Rev. Paul David Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Marvin DeWitt Silver, Jr. of Forest City; two granddaughters, Whitney Silver Hollifield (Stephen) of Concord and Brittney Silver Splawn (Joseph) of Denver, Colorado; brother, Rev. Eddie Church (Irene) of Ellenboro and a special family friend, Mary Bobek of Ruth.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2020 at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Walker officiating.
