Tanya Renee Coffey McEntire, age 52, of Roberson Road, Forest City, NC, died December 10, 2012 at Hospice House.
Tanya was born July 1, 1960 in Rutherford County, NC, to the late John Coffey and Nadine Cochran Coffey. She worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken and in textiles for several years. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Southern Gospel music. She was known as a giving person who lived for her family and others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Juan Aviles and one brother, Keith Coffey.
Survivors include her husband, John William McEntire; one son, Joey Aviles and wife, Cassie of Forest City; two sisters, Denise Crain and husband, Doug of Rutherfordton and Lisa Rome and husband, Brian also of Forest City. She is also survived by three nieces, Sarah Rome, Brooke Crain, Sumer Crain; one nephew, Gregory Rome and one great niece and great nephew.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Leon Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
