Ted M. Beverly

Ted M. Beverly, 80, of Lake Wateree and formerly of Blacksburg, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, February 27, 2022, with his wife of 43 years, Sheila Mullinax Beverly, at his bedside. Mr. Beverly, a native of Charlotte, NC, was the son of the late Ted R. Beverly and Katherine P. Beverly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons: Mike Beverly (Lexie), Pat Beverly, Payton Beverly, and Alan Beverly (Jennifer), and a daughter, Leslie Broome (Edwin); 12 grandchildren, Justin Broome (Mandy), Jesse Broome (Renee), Jamie Brown (Wesley), Jared Broome, Trey Beverly, Jennifer Beverly, Seth Beverly (Stephanie), Kane Beverly, Konner Beverly, Lucy Beverly, and Mitchell Beverly, and Katie Beverly. He is also survived by a sister, Suellen Beverly of Lincoln, VA, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Ted was a retired land surveyor whose plats can be found in courthouses over South Carolina and North Carolina. In his retirement on Lake Wateree, he was an avid bird watcher. He also enjoyed playing golf, working crossword puzzles, reading, and caring for his 1957 Chevrolet. Ted was a man of faith and has gained that final prize.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 11:30-1:30 at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. Cryptside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2, at Clingman Memorial Gardens, 1219 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Gene Brown officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes.

The Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the Beverly family.
