LAWNDALE - Teresa Ann Cook Wellmon, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice of Kings Mountain surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 22, 1950 in Cleveland County to the late Flay and Catherine Shull Cook. She is also predeceased by her husband, Bobby Lee Wellmon. Teresa died of a broken heart following the passing of her husband 8 years ago and after almost 40 years of a devoted marriage. She stopped eating and lost her will to go on.
Teresa Wellmon was owner and director of Children's World Daycare, Lawndale for 33 years. She was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her pride and joy, her three grandchildren.
Mrs. Wellmon leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Michelle Wellmon Miller,husband and very special son-in-law, Keith Alan Miller; granddaughter Makana Miller, grandson, Colson Miller and granddaughter, Kenzi Miller; special friends, Sammy Lee, Johnny Wease and Betty Ruth Fetzer; Chihuahua "Missy".
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 02, 2016 at Lawndale Baptist Church, 407 West Main Street Lawndale, NC 28090 with Rev. Jim Kilby officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
