Teresa Diane Hicks Dellinger, age 60 of Candice Ct. passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

She was born April 14, 1960 in Watauga County to Lena Tugman Hicks of Boone and the late Darrell Hicks. She was adored by all children and everyone loved her caring and giving heart.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dellinger.

In addition to her mother, Lena Hicks, she is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Daphne Sanclimenti of Boone, John and Joan Hicks of Boone, Jannette Barkley of Cherryville, Joane and Lee Phillips of Hickory, Darlene and Jess Colvard of Lenoir, and Wayne and Sandy Hicks of Todd; stepson and wife, Scott and Wanda Dellinger; 3 step-grandsons; a step-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Ms. Dellinger will lie-in-state Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Vassey officiating. Burial will be private. Due to COVID-19 regulations, social distancing and face coverings will be observed.
