Terry Smith, age 68, of Forest City, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at his residence.
Terry was born Tuesday, July 13, 1954 in Rutherford County to Dorris Smith who resides in Forest City and the late William "Bill" Lee Smith. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1973. Terry worked for Timken Industries for forty years and owned and operated Terry's Lawn Care for many years. He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and also a member of the Marion Moose Lodge. Terry loved cutting grass and doing outdoor work.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas "Tom" Smith.
Besides he mother, those left to cherish his memory are his brothers and their wives, Charles Smith (Teresa) of Forest City, Ricky Smith (Ann) of Cliffside and Tim Smith (Becky) of Forest City; a sister-in-law, Debbie Smith of Forest City; caregivers (niece), Jessica Smith Winn (Steven Winn) of Forest City; his nephews, Jeff Herman-Smith, Chad Smith, Brian Smith, Travis Smith (Tiffany) and nieces, Christy Smith and Lindsey Smith; several great-nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bryan Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
