Thad Lafon Bailey, 90 of 3036 Vernell Lane, Shelby passed away Wednesday,
March 29, 2017 at White Oak Manor - Kings Mountain.

Born September 13, 1926 in Dillon County, SC, to the late Thad Monroe Bailey
and Bertie Foxworth Bailey. He was retired from Dixie Yarn in Cumberland
and Lithium in Bessemer City. Mr. Bailey was a member of Hamer Church of
God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hayes
Bailey; a son, Johnny Lafon Bailey; a brother, Monroe Bailey and sister,
Margaret Jones.

Survivors include a son, Jim Bailey and wife, Becky of Shelby; three
daughters, Mildred Ann Frailey and husband Paul of Illinois; Mary Jane
Farley of Fayetteville and Bobbie Jo Taylor of Thomasville; sister, Ethel
Lee Faulk and husband, Carl of Dillon, SC and numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Hamer Church of God in
Dillon, SC

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Hamer Church of God with Rev.
Joey Nelms officiating.

Burial will follow in Hope Mills Cemetery, Hope Mills, NC
