Thaddeus Winfred Brendle, age 67, left for Heaven, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at home. Born in Burke County on February 23, 1951, he was the son of the late David Winfred and Josephine Martin Brendle. Thad worked for Pendry Funeral Home in Lenoir and then went to Gupton Jones Mortuary School in Atlanta. He received an opportunity to become the assistant music and youth director for the First Baptist Church in Atlanta. Thad had a passion for children and helping others. He had a beautiful baritone voice and a love for the Theatre. He witnessed to everyone about his love for the Lord and leading others to Christ. Thad had a very giving heart and would give you his car if you needed it. Thad was such a blessing and a Joy that people were drawn to him because of his loving heart and fun personality. In addition to his parents, Thad is preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Jane Brendle and Brenda Brendle.

Thad is survived by two brothers, Rev. Jeff Brendle of Kings Mountain and Rev.Tim Brendle and wife Ava of Petersburg Va.; loving nieces and nephews; and godson, Trung Do and many other god children.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A private burial will be at Burke Memorial Park.
