The Don Gibson Theatre recently hosted The Kentucky Headhunters, an American country rock and Southern rock band from Kentucky. Band members include Doug Phelps, Fred Young, Greg Martin and Richard Young. They have released ten studio albums, three compilation albums and 23 singles. Their biggest single is a cover of the Don Gibson song "Oh Lonesome Me," which went to number eight on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 1990. The band won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1990 for their album Pickin' on Nashville, three Country Music Association awards, and an Academy of Country Music award. The crowd enjoyed hits which included 'My Daddy Was a Milkman,' 'Dumas Walker' and the Don Gibson cover of 'Oh Lonesome Me'.
