Thelma Louise Ledbetter Wood, 92, of N. Post Rd, Shelby, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.
Mrs. Wood was born in Cleveland County on March 25, 1920, to the late Jason Ledbetter and Mildred Hallman Ledbetter. She was retired from Dover Textiles and was a member of Wallace Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Wood; seven brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by one son; Robert Wood and wife Gail of Shelby; two daughters, Bettye Scism of Shelby and Peggy Howell and husband Roger of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Essie Proctor of Cherryville; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston
Funeral: 2:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston
Officiating: Rev. Roy T. Byers and Rev. Ron Leslie
Interment: St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cherryville
