Mooresboro - Thomas Ray Phillips, 64, died March 21, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born January 6, 1956 to the late Thomas Wilk Phillips and Mildred Hamrick Phillips. Mr. Phillips went on and served in all capacities in the fire department. Thomas was a joy to be around and he made friends easily. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Martin. He is missed and survived by one daughter Tammy Phillips and one sister Dorothy Sailor. A graveside service will be held at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Pallbearers will be the Fireman from the Cliffside Fire Department with the Board Members of the Cliffside Fire Department serving as honorary pallbearers. The Rev. Tripp Biggerstaff and Rev. Fred William will be officiating the service. Interment will follow the service at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Cliffside Fire Department P.O.
