On August 31, 2021 at 5:04 pm Thomas William Brackett, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather entered eternity at the age of 74.

He was born July 29, 1947 to J.W. and Mildred Brackett of Belwood, NC. He was a machinist by trade but his life's work was in Christian ministry. He started two churches and worked extensively in the inner city. Many came to know Christ through his life and testimony. He was known for his giving spirit and strong faith. He was a lover of books and was a voracious reader. He was married to and survived by his wife, Debby Brackett of Moyock, NC.

He is also survived by his sister Peggy McCombs of Douglasville, GA and his brother, Samuel Brackett of Shelby, NC. He was the father of seven children, Dusty Brackett , Jacob Brackett, Michah Brackett, Rebekah Thomas, Leah Byrd, Jeremiah Brackett, and Anthony Riddick.

He had eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in the near future. Details are yet unknown.
