Thurman Dan Packard, age 79, passed away Tuesday October 12, 2021.

Born in Cleveland County on March 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Julius Thurman and Dessie Daves Packard.

Dan was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where he served many years as a Deacon, taught the Men of Faith Sunday School Class and was a member of the Senior Golden Delights. Having a passion for Corvettes, he was a proud member of the Chevys Under Glass Corvette Club of Cleveland County.

Dan is survived by his wife of 43 years Geraldine "Jerri" Packard, his daughter, Donna Boyes Hamrick (Robert), four grandchildren, Mason Hamrick, Trey Beaty (Lauren), Austin Hamrick (Neisa), and Matt Hamrick. Four great-grandchildren, LeAnn, Maverick, Ryker Hamrick and Raeleigh Beaty. Also left to cherish his memory is his God daughter Mandy Dellinger.

Funeral service will be held 11:00am Saturday October 16, 2021 at Eastside Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Byrd officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00am - 11:00am.
