Timothy James Cochran

Timothy James Cochran, 60, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022 at his home.

Tim was born in Cleveland County, NC, and was preceded in death by his parents, James Russell Cochran and Dot Allen Pierce as well as his grandparents, Lum and Bernice Teseneer Cochran, Horace and Minnie Allen and Jim and Sissy B. Champion. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 21 years, Karen Hyde Cochran.

Tim was of the Christian faith and attended several churches during his lifetime. He served in the US Air Force during his youth and was the owner of Tim's Roof Contractors for more than 30 years. Tim was an avid dirt track racing fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. He was a spontaneous person and would often take spur of the moment vacations to the coast or the mountains. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. The family would like to say "Go get em Tiger" as they remember Tim's constant guidance and love, and cherish the memories they have shared with him throughout their lives.

Daughters: Kristin Roper, Blacksburg, SC, and Jenny Steele, Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Nate, Elijah, Serenity, Kenneth, Ashlynn, Cedella, Tesla, Issiah, Dalton, Travis, Lily, and Travis

Brothers: Charles Cochran (Cindy), Shelby, NC and Bruce Pierce, Blacksburg, SC

Sisters: Pamela Watts (Ken), Blacksburg, SC, Lynn Cochran (Jessie), Shelby, NC and Dedee Porter (Dewayne), Blacksburg, SC

Stepmother: Sarah Cochran, Shelby, NC

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 1:30 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jonnie Wayne Mixon II officiating

VISITATION: Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:20 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
