Timothy Richard Stroup, 47, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

Timothy was born in Cleveland County on June 12, 1975 to Richard and Peggy Stroup. Tim graduated from Crest high School in 1993 and attended Gaston College where he studied Electrical Installation and Controls. He worked for several different electrical contractors in North and South Carolina and Alabama. Tim specialized in residential and industrial work and was very particular about his control panels being well organized and neat. He built many different control panels for various machine installations.

Tim enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Growing up he was very active in the Royal Ambassador Program at his church earning numerous awards. He also participated in church Bible Drill.

Tim is survived by his parents, his son Hunter and wife Shelby, daughter Jordyn, brother Jonathan and wife Jenifer, nephews Blaine and Riley, as well as his niece Abigail, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life for Tim will be held in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home 11:00AM Saturday December 10, 2022. Visitation will immediately follow the service.
