Tommie Steward Feaster

Mr. Tommie Steward Feaster, 77, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

He was born in York, SC to the late Johnnie Feaster and the late Odessa Williamson Feaster in 1943. He attended Camp High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In May 1971, he married the love of his life, Phyllis Feaster.

Tommie was employed for many years with Daniel Construction Company, Neal Hawkins Construction, and Ester Mill until he began his own business Feaster's Building and Remodeling. Tommie worked very hard to take care of his family.

Tommie loved fishing and western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his children and neighborhood children, often times taking all of them on fishing outings, camping and mountain trips. Tommie loved his community Sherwood Acres and will be remembered for his dedication to making Christmas Eve a night for all neighbors and friends to remember.

Tommie was preceded in death by his brothers James Feaster, Johnnie Feaster, Walter Feaster, Joe Feaster, and a sister, Bertha Feaster.

Tommie is survived by his wife, Phyllis Feaster; his children, Reginald Feaster of Shelby, Bernard Coleman (Wanda) of Sumter, SC, Tony McClain (Gail) of Spartanburg, SC and Annette McClain of Mount Holly, NC whom he loved like a daughter. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aslen Feaster, and Gabrielle Feaster of Shelby, NC, Tyrez McClain of Mount Holly, NC, Stuart Coleman of Columbia, SC and DJ Coleman of Sumter, SC; a brother, Paul Feaster, Sr. (Brenda); a special nephew, Paul Feaster, Jr. and special nieces, Terrie Feaster and Donna Gaston of Shelby and a host of nieces, nephews and cousin.

The funeral service for Mr. Feaster will be private. He may be viewed at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery with military honors. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
