Tommy Mode, age 58, of Mooresboro, NC, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Tommy was born August 11, 1954 in Catawba County, NC to the late Thomas Voyd Mode, Sr. and to Dorothy Bright Mode who resides in Mooresboro. He worked as a self-employed mechanic most of his life and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mooresboro. He loved working with computers and was an avid car racing fan.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Horseman.
Besides his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Crystal Smith of Mooresboro and two grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith and Amber Smith.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Tim Frashier officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
