Tony Weathers, age 68, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Tony was born March 21, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Yates Weathers and Bernice Gillespie Weathers. He worked in textiles and in law enforcement for several years. Tony was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church for over fifty years and was the church janitor for many years. He especially enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Judy McIntyre Weathers and sister, Jane Weathers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melissa Greene (Bryant) of Ellenboro; two sons, Jason Weathers (Katrina) of Forest City and Andrew Weathers (Amanda) of Union Mills; two sisters, Teresa Bowling of Ohio and Lynn Consentino of New Mexico; two brothers, Mark Bowling of Ohio and Scott Bowling of Kentucky. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Maeghan Weathers, Blake Weathers, Jeffery Elliott, Makayla Weathers, Candace Jones, Hunter Carl, Cayden Weathers, Mayson Weathers, Lucas Pittman, Jayla Pittman and five great-grandchildren, Brayden Burnett, Jenna Burnett, Payton Mostiler, Iris Tao and Austin Weathers.

A celebration of life will be conducted on a later date.
