Trejan Wadell Crosby,

Trejan Wadell Crosby, 24, of Shelby, NC, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1999, to Michael Crosby and Amy Stallings in Gaston County, NC.

Trejan was a 2017 graduate of Shelby High School where he was an outstanding baseball player. Along with his love for baseball, he enjoyed fitness, video games, and his son. He was incredibly kind and would share anything he had with others. When Trejan loved he loved hard.

Even at his lowest points, he always had a smile on his face and he found joy in making other people smile. Trejan had many different friends from many different backgrounds. One thing that all his friends can agree on was that he was a light in any room he walked into. He truly had a gift of making people laugh, and feel like they were seen and heard. He was a protector, a lover, a fighter, and had a very gentle soul. Trejan also loved adventure; he loved to experience new things and new people.

Trejan's religion was deeply important to him, and he was a born-again Christian. The outward expression of his faith in Christ took place in September of 2023 when he was baptized.

Trejan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul Stallings and Wadell Mayes.

He is survived by his parents, Michael Crosby and Amy Stallings; his son, Kade Crosby; Kade's mother and best friend, Destiny Hamrick. Kade was the light of his life and his proudest accomplishment. He loved his son more than anybody can put into words. In addition, he is survived by sisters, Summer Crosby and Serenity Crosby; brothers, Taylor Crosby (Ashley) and Michael Lee Crosby; grandmothers, Vickki Stallings and Lillie Mae Crosby; great grandmother, Bessie Littlejohn; aunts, Alicia Phillips, and Jenni Stallings; uncles, Drew Stallings and Rico Phillips; niece, Taylen Crosby; nephews, Taylor Crosby, Jr., Tanner Crosby, and Ezra Baker; numerous other great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 5 at First Baptist Earl, at 3 p.m. Reception of friends will be held from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
