Tyler Davis

Tyler Davis, age 28, of Caroleen, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.

Tyler was born January 17, 1992 in Cleveland County to his loving parents, Gary Davis and Susie Hutchins Davis of Caroleen. At the age of 5, it was determined that Tyler had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Even with his diagnosis, Tyler was determined to live a full life of personal accomplishments and love for others. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 2010 and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Tyler was known for his "quirky" sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He enjoyed playing computer games and having his pet cat, "Miss Kitty" by his side. Tyler's life was complete with the loving care and support of his parents along with many family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Jessie Hutchins and a special uncle, Roger Hutchins.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Drake Davis (Kate) of Raleigh; grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Davis of Ellenboro; four aunts, Sondra Childres (Steve), Barbara Connell (Steve), Judi Hutchins all of Caroleen and Debbie Bailey (Darryl) of Tryon. He is also survived by a wonderful caregiver, Dorlis "Grammy" Roberts and a host of cousins.

A celebration of Tyler's life will be private for the family.

Memorial donations are requested to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, http://wish.org or to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 397 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
