Tyler M. Ledford, age 24, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence.
Born January 8, 1994 in Rutherford County, he is the son of Dianna Daughtridge of Gastonia and Marc Ledford of Forest City. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 2012 and was a member of the 2011 State Championship Basketball Team. Tyler was the owner and operator of C & M Bail bonds Inc. and was a past member of Forest Lake Baptist Church. He was an avid weightlifter and enjoyed all kinds of sports. Tyler will always be known for his kindheartedness and was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gaston Gaines Ledford.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his step-mother, Cheryl Ledford of Forest City; brother, Marcus Ledford and wife, Megan of Rutherfordton; paternal grandmother, Shirley Ledford of Cliffside; maternal grandparents, Sharon and Mo Daughtridge of Gastonia; maternal great-grandmother, Frances Daughtridge of Rocky Mount, NC; aunt and uncle, Shannon and David Costner of Ellenboro; two great aunts, Lynn Page of Raleigh and Alicia Church of Forest City; and two cousins, Connley Costner of Ellenboro and Kayla Church of Forest City.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Neil Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations are respectfully requested to the East Rutherford High School Athletic Program.
