Vickie McSwain Dixon, 68, of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Hospice at Wendover, Shelby.

Born in Gaston County, on September 2, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Ford Jerome McSwain and Betty Huss McSwain. She was retired from Carolina Freight Carriers and was a member of Kadesh United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Monroe Dixon.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Glover (Shane) of Shelby; son, Michael Black (Laurie) of Concord; two sisters, Alice Mauney (Berry) of Crouse and Shannon Holt (William) of Maiden; sister-in-law, Nancy Peeler (Barney) of Lawndale; eight grandchildren Autumn Hight (Justin), Brandon Glover, Trent Black, Tripp Black, Bella Black, and Mallory Black; two great grandchildren, Brentlie Hight and Ryker Hight; and a special niece Neeley Cranford.

The private graveside service will be held at Kadesh United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Elwell officiating.
