Miss Vivian Ann Smith, 65 of 1306 Frederick St. Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born on October 24, 1955 in Cleveland County, NC to Myrtle Smith Ellis and the late Roddy Ellis.

Vivian was a long-time member of the Fairview AME Zion Church of Earl, NC. She served as a Choir member of the Goods and Adult Choir, Usher Board and Bud's Department. A faithful member of the Young Christians on the move. She was a prayer warrior and shared her gift through song in many states. Later she joined the Hopper's Chapel Baptist Church. Vivian was a dedicated member and served as the chairperson of the Pastor's Aid Committee. She was educated in the Shelby City School District and a 1974 Graduate of Shelby Senior High School.

She was employed with the Cleve Mont Mills in Kings Mountain, NC for many years, and later was employed with Wal Mart where she was employed until her disability.

Preceding in death a godson reared in the home TravisDeshaun Smith, father Mr. Roddy Ellis and a brother Jimmy Smith, surviving to cherish fond memories is her loving mother Myrtle Smith Ellis,brother Reverend Frankie L Smith (Wilma), sister in law Myrtle Friday Smith, Cousins/brothers and sister, Reverend James L Smith (Hazel), Pamela Smith, Elder Sherwood Smith, the late Reverend Kenneth Hezekiah Smith (Carol). A niece Kendra L. Smith, three nephews, Carlton H. Smith, Ashley O. Smith, Frankie (Lee) Smith II, special niece Renee Smith Wilson, a special nephew Christopher O. The funeral service for Miss Smith will be private. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook starting at 1:55 on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Miss Smith can be viewed at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Fairview A.M.E Zion Church Cemetery in Earl, NC.
