Von Eva Morrison Anthony, age 91 of Craig St., Cherryville, NC, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Wendover Hospice House. She was born December 20, 1926 in Gaston County to the late Lathern Ivey and Anner Icard Morrison. Von Eva was a member of Second Baptist Church and was retired from Carlton Yarn Mill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Anthony; son, Bobby Anthony, who was killed in Vietnam; daughter, Kathy Rudisill; grandchildren, Wendy Cain and Tyler Anthony; and siblings, Tom and Russell Morrison, Clara Green, Viola Beattie, and Mary McSwain.

Survivors include her children, Judy McSwain (J.R.) of Cherryville, Patty Cain (Randy) of Lincolnton, and Wayne Anthony (Amy) of Cherryville; eight grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
