The Wal-Mart Foundation recently presented to the Keep Shelby Beautiful Commission (KSB) a check for $5,000. Employees of Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6070 participated in the Volunteerism Always Pays (VAP) Program sponsored by the Wal-Mart Foundation. Over 80 employees volunteered their time and talents during Keep America Beautiful’s 2010 Great American Cleanup™ held from March through May by participating in litter sweeps, neighborhood cleanups, and beautification projects. The hours of service by these volunteers resulted in the donation from Wal-Mart Foundation to KSB, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.  The donation will be used to enhance recycling efforts underway at Shelby City Park facilities and in local schools. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the employees of Wal-Mart Distribution Center #6070 for their caring community spirit.
