Wanda Joann Saxon originally from Washington County TN, made her home in Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday June 17, 2018. Joann was a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church, member of Daughters of American Revolution and served as Eastern Starr #144.

She was preceded in death by parents Allie & Ottie Croyle, sister Ina Street, and husband Wally Saxon from Jonesboro TN.

Joann is survived by her nephew Bobby Street, from Jonesboro TN, children Tim (and wife Lisa) and Randall Saxon, and grandchildren Lorin and Zakery of Shelby.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Randy Blanton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
