Wayne Black, 79, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

He was born August 28,1941 in Cleveland County to the late Frank and Lillie Mae Black.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley Owens Black; brothers G.C. Black and wife Evelyn, Lawrence, Louis, and L.D. Black and wife Marie.

Wayne attended Midview Baptist Church, he enjoyed working in his garden, going to the trade lot to find a deal for dollar and watching hummingbirds.

Left to cherish Wayne's memories are his two sisters, Doris Dabbs and husband Pete of Kings Mountain and Mary Francis Greene of Grover.

Wayne's funeral service will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Midview Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Rice officiating.

Wayne will lie in state from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the church.

Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Midview Baptist Church Building Fund 703 Margrace Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
