SHELBY: Willard James "Bill" Huntsinger, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Robert and Lela Rabb Huntsinger. Bill was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and retired from PPG after 35 years of service. He was an avid Shelby Football and Carolina Tar Heels fan. He enjoyed reading his bible.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty McKee Huntsinger; and brothers, Harold and Albert Huntsinger.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his sons, Mike Huntsinger and wife Vicky of Shelby, Doug Huntsinger and wife Nicki of Elgin, SC, and Todd Huntsinger of Shelby; daughter, Amy Atkins and husband Kenneth of Lawndale; sisters, Selma Ware and husband Roger of Shelby, and Earline Rhymer of Forest City; sister-in-law, Jene Huntsinger of Shelby; grandchildren, Jason Huntsinger of Shelby, Tara Parker and fiancé Robert Huskey of Kings Mountain, Erika Goodman and husband Corey of Spartanburg, Joey Huntsinger and fiancée Erika Dillard of Kings Mountain, Kyle Huntsinger and wife Kaylie of Wake Forest, Kaci Clemente and husband Joe of Kings Mountain, Karen Atkins and Nicholas Atkins, both of Lawndale; and six great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11a.m., Saturday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 9:30-11am, prior to the service.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Ted Easter will officiate

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery
