William "Bill" Arthur Redfoot, 86, of Mooresboro, NC, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC.

He was born in Greenville, PA on July 10, 1930, a son of the late Arthur William and Bessie Bell (Krischbaum) Redfoot. In February, 1946 he married Virginia May Sutley, who preceded him in death on May 28, 2015. He is survived by a daughter, Frances (Redfoot) Adams, and her husband Harold of Sebastian, FL, a son, Richard Redfoot and his wife Christa of Mooresboro, NC ; step-sister Betty Barber of Greenville, PA; four grandchildren Nicole (Adams)Barrett, Luke Adams, Richard Redfoot and Robert Redfoot and nine great grandchildren, Jack and Anna Barrett, Cooper and Libbie Adams, Max and Rosie Redfoot and Jake, Jesse and Kinley Redfoot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Fields and Pearl Anthony; four brothers, Robert Redfoot, Clair "Scott" Redfoot, Howard Redfoot and Richard Redfoot; step-mother Loretta Redfoot and step sister Isophene Buterbaugh.

Bill and Virginia lived in Hartstown, PA for over 20 years then moved to a farm in Cochranton, PA where they lived for over 40 years. In 2012 they moved to Mooresboro, NC where they spent their remaining years.

Bill worked as a self-employed plastering contractor for over 45 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting for many years with friends and family. He was a sports fan and especially liked Collegiate Wrestling, Professional Ice Hockey and NASCAR racing. He was known for his sense of humor and great belly laugh.

Receiving of friends will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC on Thursday, March 30 from 5:30 till 7:30. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Cochranton, PA.
