William "Bill" Charles Marshall, 82, of Hicks Hill Road, Lawndale passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at his residence.

Bill was born on October 1, 1942, in Pender County, NC to the late Luther Maurice Marshall and Myrtle Louise Clark Marshall. He was retired from Duke Energy and Lawndale Auto Parts. Bill also served in the US Navy. He was also a kind and gentle man and enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at the Community Mart.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Paula Richards Marshall; son, Billy Marshall of Mooresboro; two daughters, Jennifer Summerlin and husband, Scott of Fallston and Sarah Marcus and husband, Joe of Asheville; three sisters, Kaye Wells, Nancy Marshall and Chris Marshall all of Lawndale; seven grandchildren, William Marshall, III, Jesse Summerlin, Maggie Marshall, Sam Summerlin, Ethan Marshall, Mae Marcus and Emre Marcus.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Willis officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Spangler Branch Library, 112 Piedmont Drive Lawndale, NC 28090.
