William "Bill" F. Hill, age 88, left to meet his Heavenly Father on November 12, 2016. Afflicted with the poliovirus at the age of 3, he was left with physical limitations to his arms and legs. However, throughout his life, he refused to limit himself. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Thereafter, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 36 years, taking pride in serving the public. He married his love and soulmate, Evelyn Gormley Hill and they raised a family of 5 children. He was a courageous, yet humble and religious man, who lived by the word of God and with immense grace. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jo-Ann Dillenbeck as well as parents, Benjamin and Agnes Hill

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Gormley Hill; four children: Kathleen Hjellming and husband Michael, Benjamin Mark Hill and wife Jane, Rita Wood and Barry and William Luke Hill and wife Deborah. a sister Joan McInerney Smith; a brother Robert Hill; Eight Grandchildren: Michael Francis Palma, Sean Thomas Dillenbeck, Jessica Waltzer, Amanda Hill, Ashley Michelle Wood, Shannon Elizabeth Hill, Patrick Ryan Hill, Conor Joseph Hill and two great grandchildren, Izabella Palma and Benjamin James Robinson.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Kotter officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Sunset Cemetery. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 6:30 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation to follow from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
